2026 - Off and Running

It's hard to believe we're already at the end of January; time seems to fly by faster every year. The new year for students at Etwene started with a bang—not the kind we hoped for, but a fumigation bomb! As the boys faced yet another battle with bed bugs, we brought in a technician to fumigate the entire house. This required them to evacuate for two days. Our wonderful mentors and some friends generously offered to host our boys for a few nights. Please pray that this will completely eradicate the bugs from the house and that the Lord will provide a shield of protection against any future infestations.

Our young men are resuming their school classes for the semester, returning to their regular routines after the holiday break. One of them has begun his national service, which involves working for the government, typically in one's field of study, after finishing an undergraduate degree. Please pray that they will be committed to their classes, studies, and work. Pray that they will also have the courage to share the gospel and embody the spirit of Jesus in their classes and other community settings.

Finally, we are still working on finalizing numerous legal documents and opening bank accounts to start searching for a permanent home for Etwene. This has turned out to be a lengthy and often frustrating process. Please pray that the documents we need from here can be sent there without complications or delays. It would also be beneficial if we could receive consistent information from the different agencies to gather all the required details. Currently, every time our director in Ghana tries to open an account, he is informed of additional or different requirements!

Thank you all for your prayers and support. If you are looking for a quick easy way to help Etwene grow Please share this blog to your social media accounts and follow our Facebook and Instagram pages. Currently we are looking to expand awareness and prepare to grow and add more students in this next year.
